Recording Sessions

Spent the past few days recording demo tracks for the website and achieved some really great results considering I’m recording with an iPad and GarageBand connected to a condenser Mic. I always like this process because it gives you the opportunity to work through which ones I want to keep in the setlist.

Anyone who has recorded themselves will inevitably find out when you listen back and discover something doesn’t sound right. Some songs just don’t have the punch, tone or sound you hoped for. Rather than fight the urge to keep it, sometimes it’s better to just pull the pin and cull it from the repertoire.

This is difficult because you spend hours, days or weeks practicing to get a tune performance ready. But you have to be honest with yourself because there is no point playing songs that don’t enhance your setlist.
