Back at it

Took some time off through June to allow my voice to rest and recover. Singing songs repeatedly during rehearsal is taxing, but the hardest part is reprising the sections of the songs which need tweaking. These are always the parts with the highest pitch or loudest inflection, so it can quickly make your throat raw and your voice raspy.

It’s important to allow your body to recover, especially when going through a grueling schedule. Sometimes you just need to focus on one aspect of the project, so I worked on marketing and website content and avoided the guitar and singing.
